Tuckahoe Update 11-14-2018

Last Friday we had a great dance with Doren McBroom calling and George Springer cueing for us. It is always a fun dance when we dance both squares and rounds. We recognized and honored our Veterans for their service, sacrifices, bravery, hard work and dedication to our country with each receiving an American Flag Pin. Our members provided the refreshments with lots of fruit, cheese, cheese cake, cookies and tasty snacks. It was a fun dancing night thanks to Doren, George, and Dancers/Veterans.

This week our caller will be Gene Chamberlain, our square dance instructor. Also this week we will be welcoming our new student dancers to our regular Friday night club dance. We look forward to having them join us and to Gene calling.

Hope everyone saw the “Honoring Our Veterans” section of the RTD Sunday paper featuring 13 stories of Virginians who served our nation. Our own Dean Decker was featured as one of the Veterans. Great article!!

For those who go or have been to the train exhibit at the hardware store in Blackstone, the train exhibit will not be on display this year.  IMPORTANT NOTICE:   It is with much regret that we announce the trains at Bevell’s will not be running during the 2018 holiday season due to a major family illness. Thank you for understanding as the Daniels family works through this difficult time.
