Tuckahoe Update 7-10-2018

Last Friday we had another fantastic dancing evening celebrating “Independence Day” with Jeremy Butler. We always have fun when Jeremy is calling for us. We had five squares on the dance floor most of the night. Everyone was wearing their Red, White and Blue in celebration of Independence Day. Diane was there leading the line dancing. We also celebrated July Birthdays and Anniversaries. Eva and Jean provided the refreshments with a “Happy Birthday USA” cake, shrimp, and yummy snacks. It was definitely a fun night. Thanks to Jeremy, Diane, Eva and Jean.

This Friday Jimmy Roberson will be here calling our “Rock & Roll Dance”. This will be Jimmy’s last time to call for us as he will not be traveling in the future. So everyone put on your poodle skirts, rolled-up jeans, slicked back hair, and 50’s attire!! We will have a fun Rock & Roll Square Dance night!!

The Richmond square dance community offers this dance annually with all the proceeds going to Henrico County.  This is our way of thanking Henrico County for allowing us to use, free of charge, their schools for our dances and classes.  We are very fortunate to have this arrangement.  We thank Mike and Connie for donating their time and hope you will be able to attend this dance.  If you are unable to attend, please keep in mind that RSARDA will accept and is appreciative of your donations.  Checks should be made payable to Henrico County Dept of Recs and Parks.

Let’s “Load the Boat” with everyone square dancing and enjoying the fun.
