Hi Tuckahoe Square Dancers,
I am back from my Florida Beach Vacation!! The weather was good most of the time. I had a great vacation but am glad to be back home.
Last Friday our guest caller was Virgil Forbes and I heard it was a fun dance with up to 5 squares on the floor and everyone enjoying the dance!! Thanks to Jim Kiser for providing the refreshments for the dance. Thanks to Virgil and Jim for a fun evening.
I want to say a “Huge Thank You” to Deby Bigdely for leading the Tuckahoe Square Dances and sending the weekly emails while I was on vacation. She even made time to make the cutest apron for the RSARDA Men’s Bake Off Dance held this past Saturday night. I really appreciate all she did. GREAT JOB DEBY!!!!
I also want to say a “Big Thank You” to Scout Saylors for taking care of our annual picnic on Sunday, June 3rd, at Dorey Park. I heard the weather was not great in some areas around Richmond, but for those folks who ventured to the picnic, it was a fun afternoon, good chicken, delicious foods, and fun dancing.
ALOHA!!! This Friday our guest caller will be Nelson Wakeman calling for our “HAWAIIAN DANCE”. Be sure to wear your Hawaiian attire….with palm trees, pineapples, or floral moo-moos/dresses/skirts/shirts!!! Let’s make it a fun island dance! Mahalo nui loa – A hui hou kakou.
For Friday, June 22nd, we will be celebrating “PINK FLAMINGO DAY” so please plan on wearing “Pink”. “Think Pink”!!

We thank Mike and Connie for donating their time and hope you will be able to attend this dance. If you are unable to attend, please keep in mind that RSARDA will accept and is appreciative of your donations. Checks should be made payable to Henrico County Dept of Recs and Parks.
