Tuckahoe Update 5-2-2018

Hi Tuckahoe Square Dancers,

We had a wonderful time dancing to good music with Larry Winegard calling. Larry had us moving and grooving with some new calls for us! Again we had up to 5 squares moving on the dance floor. Everyone was having lots of fun. Diane was our line dance leader and she kept us moving too. Joy and Jim provided the refreshments with two delicious cakes, lemon and strawberry, and other good snacks. Thanks to Larry, Diane, Joy and Jim for another fun evening of dancing.

Jessie Critcher visited with us last Friday night. It was so good to see Jessie and know that he is doing good. We all hope to see him soon…maybe this week.

This Friday we will be celebrating “Cinco de Mayo” so let’s all join together and have a fun square and round dancing night!
Did you know….Cinco de Mayo (the fifth of May) is celebrated to honor Mexico’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). Despite having a small band of fighters, the Mexicans were able to defeat the massive French army on May 5, 1862.
